New rule for AdSense account approval in India

There is some bad news for Indian publishers who want to sign up for AdSense and create a new AdSense account. The bad news is that for countries like India and China ,Google has imposed a domain age qualification.

In Google's own language
"In some locations, including China and India, we require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers".

This means that You Will Not Get your AdSense account approval before 6 months. There is no getting around that. If someone is promising you an Adsense Approved site or to get Adsense account approval for you , he is lying. Do not for a moment think that Google is being unfair. Its being totally fair because to Google its the question of the trust people have in Google and its programs like AdSense and AdWords. Past few years have seen an explosion of AdSense activity in India and a lot of it was Mal-intentioned. People have been selling AdSense accounts, renting AdSense accounts, hiring AdSense accounts and doing things even Google thought was far fetched. Nowhere else (except China) Google has seen so much AdSense click fraud. Not even in Pakistan or Afghanistan. You want to know how I know this. Simple Pakistan has a WU option for AdSense payments while India does not which means that India is ahead of its neighbour in AdSense fraud.

The sole reason I think Google has not introduced western union as an option for AdSense payments in India is the high fraud activity. The Courier dispatch system saves Google a lot of money because it usually takes a month for a cheque to be delivered to the AdSense account owner and if in the mean time Google discovers that the account has been involved in fraud, it simply issues a Stop-Payment order on that cheque rendering it useless. On the other hand direct transfers from Western Union gives no such grace period. Money transferred cannot be cancelled, its gone.

Here are a few popular queries related to Get - ing AdSense Account approval in India

Q - Are AdSense accounts getting approved in India ?
A - Yes, new approvals are being given but only to sites/blogs which are 6 months old, so start counting now.

Q - Can anybody else get my AdSense account approved? an AdSense expert, Mr India, PM Manmohan Singh, Virender Sehwag maybe ?
A - No one can get your AdSense account approved for you. If you are about to hire an expert or pay someone for this, better be prepared to lose your money for nothing.

Q- What else besides the 6 months criteria should i be worried about.
A- Content. Do not Copy paste from Wikipedia or Ezinearticles.com, squidoo or hubpages . If you
can, write your content. If you cant, forget about AdSense.

Q - My AdSense application has been rejected because of 'unacceptable site content'. Whats that ?
A - Means you do not have Original content on your site and that your site has a lot of duplicate content found on the web. OR Your site has very little content, so get your creative juices flowing and build up your website and then Resubmit.

Q- Can I resubmit my site for AdSense approval after it has been rejected ?
A - Absolutely. You can most welcomed (by Google ) to resubmit after you have done something nice with your site other than let it age.

Q- Do I have to own a domain (.com site). Is blogspot.com not acceptable anymore?
A- Blogspot.com is perfectly acceptable and having your domain is so much better but that 6 months old site-rule + original content rule still applies, for blogspot or a custom domain.

Important : You can apply for AdSense before your site is six months old. Remember you can apply but do not expect an approval before six months .What you can do is to apply for Adsense with your site content properly in place. Your Adsense account will get automatically approved once your site is six months old. To find out if your Adsense account is active, you have to login on  Adsense.google.com (only after your six months are over ) using your email-id  which you provided in the Adsense application form. If you are directed to your Account panel , you made it.
